Wing's International Cuisine - better known as 'Wings' - has announced it is reopening on May 17.

The trademark buffet closed last year, announcing it will not be in service "until further notice".

It is best known for its all you can eat buffet - which many customers have missed during lockdown.

The Ferensway restaurant closed on Monday, March 16, 2020, initially for a period of just 13 days.

Wing's then finally saw the light when they were able to reopen in July, before facing further closures during the second and third national lockdowns either side of Christmas.

Now, staff are looking forward to welcoming back diners to enjoy over 150 delicious dishes.

And even though the popular spot will be reopening, strict measures will be in place to ensure staff and customer safety - including the removal of their trademark buffet service.

On their Facebook page, Wing's said: "Who needs some GREAT news to kick start their weekend?

"We've got just what you ordered."

They added: "We're back from May 17! We'll see you soon."

A spokesperson for the popular restaurant confirmed diners will not be able to serve themselves like usual.

They said: "Within the government guidelines we will serve at the table. This will be from May 17 when we open."

For the time being, Wing's cuisine can be ordered for takeaway On Deliveroo, JustEat, UberEats, or via their website EASYDISH.
