Caroline Flack confirmed she will not host the forthcoming winter series of Love Island following her assault charge.
The 40-year-old TV presenter was charged "following a private domestic incident", reportedly involving boyfriend Lewis Burton.
Flack has stood down from series six of the show and although reports suggest she will return for the summer version – a replacement for the show which will be based in South Africa is needed.
The new series of Love Island starts on January 12 on ITV2, with one celebrity emerging as a front runner.
Laura Whitmore knows the show well as she is the girlfriend of Iain Sterling – who is the voice of Love Island, as he narrates every episode.
Bookmakers believe she is set to take on the role, although presenter Maya Jama is also seen as a strong candidate.
OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton commented: “With Caroline Flack stepping down for Winter Island, ITV are having to move quick to find a replacement – but they might very keep it close to home.
“Voice of Love Island is Iain Sterling and it is his girlfriend Laura Whitmore who is favourite to link-up with the Scottish comedian in South Africa to present the new version of the show.”
Here are some of the other people who could be in the running to take her place.
