Who is talkSPORT Breakfast host Laura Woods?

Laura Woods, 32, has become one of the most high profile figures in sport on TV after initially joining Sky Sports in 2009.

Starting off as a runner, Laura worked her way up to become a prominent mainstay on Sky Sports football coverage.

Her natural broadcasting style led her to regularly present Sky’s flagship Super Sunday and travel around the country for their Carabao Cup coverage.

During her career she's secured exclusive interviews with global football stars such as Paul Pogba, David Beckham, Pep Guardiola, Frank Lampard, Jurgen Klopp and Harry Kane.

In addition to her work on Sky Sports, Laura became known for her work as a panellist and presenter on Talk Sport’s breakfast show.

Laura's previously hosted The Times Sportswoman of the Year Awards, London Football Awards, and events for several Premier League Football Clubs.

And outside of football. Laura has also hosted Sky Sports darts coverage.

When did Laura begin hosting talkSPORT?

Laura stepped up to become the main host on talkSPORT's breakfast show on March 30, 2020.

The Sky Sports star is now hosting on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while Alan Brazil will present the show on Thursdays and Fridays.

The new morning presenter thanked radio legend Alan for his support as she opened the show.

Laura said: "Ever since I was little, talkSPORT has played a major role in my life. It’s always been on in every room in the house and in the car when my dad used to drive us around. I’ve grown up just like you as a part of this audience.

"So when I first got the job of reviewing the papers on Alan’s show, it really was one of my proudest moments. Since then, this team, and this company, have very much become my family. It’s one of the greatest honors of my life to tell you that every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I’ll be in the hot seat as the host of talkSPORT breakfast."

She added: "Now, the most important thing for me to say is thank you to Alan Brazil. The great man has been THE voice in your ears for twenty years. He’s always been the voice in my ears as well.

"And I wouldn’t be in this chair – his chair – if it wasn’t for all the support and his backing. So big man, thank you very much. Luckily we all still get our fix of Alan Brazil, he’ll be back here every Thursday and Friday. Basically we have joint custody of this show, it’s perfect.

"So let’s get into it – you’re missing sport, we’re missing sport, but whatever the colour of your team shirt, there will be something here for you. So hold on – it’s going to be a fabulous journey."
