While Ant and Dec were sunning themselves in Australia, their pal Stephen Mulhern was busy spreading some Christmas cheer for a special edition of his hit gameshow In For A Penny.
In For A Christmas Penny, filmed in November and screened this evening on ITV at 7.25pm, sees Stephen let loose on the streets of Manchester delivering festive fun to unsuspecting members of the public, and he also headed to Manchester Airport to put holidaymakers to the test.
With a new batch of hilarious games, the special Christmas version of In For A Penny has a holiday to New York up for grabs.
Stephen headed to the Christmas markets in St Ann's Square to challenge shoppers to take part in a host of festive games including That’s A Wrap, where the public had just 60 seconds to tape as many items to their bodies as they can.
The TV special will also feature the gameshow favourites Mums’s The Word, Pump It up and Weigh To Go.
Fans in Manchester shared photos of Stephen in festive jumpers in St Ann's Square and outside Marks and Spencer on Market Street, and the popular presenter was thrilled to bump into former Manchester United player and Homes Under The Hammer presenter Dion Dublin while filming.
While filming in Manchester Stephen issued a jokey warning to Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly after they made a jokey dig on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
The cheeky presenters quipped that Stephen should front a 'cheap, one dimensional and very low rent show' based on a game invented in the jungle by the I'm A Celebrity campmates.
Dec joked: "Don’t miss Stephen Mulhern’s Quick Draw next Saturday only on ITV."
Ant added: "He’ll present anything."
And turning to face the camera, Dec said: "Hi Stevie."
The duo tweeted to ask if Stephen was watching and he replied drily: "Didn’t see the show, as was too busy filming the Xmas special of In for A Penny, making more money for you two millionaires #happychristmas. Mention me again and I’ll smash your faces in."
