What week is it on Bake Off tonight? Week five theme revealed

THE Great British Bake Off 2020 is in full swing with delicious bakes, witty banter and Hollywood handshakes filling our Tuesday evenings.

We've already seen Cake week, Biscuit week and Bread week - so what are the themes for the rest of the series?

What is the theme this week?

Tonight, the theme is Pastry Week.

The bakers must put their own spin on a Cornish classic in the Signature challenge and are set a retro Technical challenge.

For the Showstopper challenge they must create a tart in a pastry cage.

What is the theme next week?

Next week Bake Off will see the show's first ever Japanese week.

Previous themes have included Patisserie week, Dairy week and Dessert week.

However, we will have the wait to see what else this year has in store.

When is Bake Off 2020 on TV?

The Great British Bake Off 2020 airs on Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4.

The bakers were selected by April 2020, but due to coronavirus restrictions the filming schedule had to be rewritten, with the series hitting TV screens a month later than usual.

There are 10 episodes with An Extra Slice airing on C4 tonight (Friday September 25) at 8pm.

New series of the Great British Bake Off is filthier than ever with ‘boob cakes’ and Prue Leith declaring ‘I like baked helmet’
