Boris Johnson has announced a new national lockdown in England.
The new rules will come into place this Thursday, November 5, until December 2, subject to a vote in Parliament.
The stringent rules will mean people are not allowed to leave home except in certain circumstances, and are not allowed to mix households either indoors or outdoors.
The restrictions will also see all non-essential businesses closing, with stores that only sell 'essential' goods allowed to reopen.
The government has said the definition of non-essential retail will be similar to the first lockdown.
As per their guidance in the spring, these include:
Pubs and restaurants will also be required to shut, alongside hairdressers and gyms.
As in Tier 3, casinos, bingo halls, betting shops, gaming centres and soft play centres will remain shut.
