The famous Dumbarton stalwarts, the Diamond Couple, toasted their 60th wedding anniversary.

Harvey Wilson, 86, and her 83-year-old Margo Wilson meet in Albert Her Ballroom in Glasgow and marry years later at Caen Wadrick Church, Wednesday, August 10. celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Both are Elders of Riverside Parish Church and longtime members of the community.

Harvey is perhaps the longest-serving member of the Vale of Leaves Golf Club since he was in 1958. Margo, on the other hand, taught many locals as a primary teacher at Knoxland Elementary School for over 30 years before retiring in 1997.

Harvey added: "We've been lucky with our health. Margo had a recent hip replacement and had breast cancer 20 years ago, and we're still here."

The couple continued to participate in sports and community activities well into their 80s, from Harvey's golf to church choirs, the Dalvate Singers, and the Helensburg Dorian Choir. , sung by Margo in several choirs over the years.

Their vaunted son, Keith Wilson, sees his parents as inspiration and says: Adds to how well thought she is in the community:
