Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney shock fans with surprise first appearance at Wrexham game

Wrexham's Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have finally taken in their first game as the club's new owners.

The pair completed a high-profile takeover of the non-league club earlier this year, but have previously been unable to watch their new club in the flesh due to Coronavirus restrictions and other difficulties.

Reports had initially claimed that the duo were set to take in Saturday's clash with Torquay United at the Racecourse on Saturday, with NorthWalesLive even claiming that a special viewing platform had been erected in the Macron Stand in anticipation of their visit.

However, they have seemingly decided to taste their first away day since taking the reins of the club, after paying a surprise visit to the club's clash with Maidenhead United at York Road on Tuesday night.

The pair were followed by a camera crew as they took their seats at York Road, and received a round of applause from the travelling fans, many of whom were clearly excited to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood duo.
