Angry Play Your Cards Right viewers have hit out at the show for a unfair rule that saw Chris and Rosie Ramsey lose the game.
The South Shields couple competed in the first of Alan Carr's much hyped Epic Gameshow reboots on Saturday night, taking on Eamonn Holmes and wife and This Morning co-host Ruth Langsford.
With couples tied, Chris and Rosie took on a row of cards in a bid to advance through to the final round as they aimed to raise as much money as they could for the Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust, the charity set up to help local youngsters realise their ambitions after the young South Tyneside couple's death in the Manchester terror attack in 2017.
Their progress hinged on the 10 of Diamonds, with Chris and Rosie saying that the next card would be higher in value. The next card revealed by dealer Sam was the 10 of Clubs, meaning that they were booted off the show, with victory going to Eamonn and Ruth.
But disgruntled viewers at home said the result was unfair and with the card being the same value it should have rolled onto the next one.
One ranted: "But it wasn’t higher or the lower it was the same and that was never an option? Should’ve been replayed #epicgameshow" and in agreement, another tweeted: "Higher or lower? *Same value 'You lose!' How does that work? #AlanCarr #EpicGameshow".
Calling for a steward's enquiry, a third blasted: ""Absolutely fuming, where's the Ref? 10 isn't higher or lower than 10! I demand a rematch! #epicgameshow @Rosemarino @IAmChrisRamsey".
Chris and Rosie didn't leave the show completely empty handed, taking home £1,000 for Chloe & Liam Together Forever and the Trust took to Facebook to thank them, posting: "Thank you to our patron Chris Ramsey and his wife Rosie for winning £1000 for the Trust and also raising awareness on national TV."
