Donny van de Beek says he is relaxed about his future at Ajax and wont complain if he doesn't get a move away from Amsterdam this summer.

The Dutch playmaker has been heavily tipped to move to Old Trafford this season and MEN Sport understands he is of interest to United, though not a priority target.

Edwin van der Sar said in June: "It’s clear that clubs like Real Madrid and United are showing interest in Donny van de Beek," but the MEN understands United are prioritising moves for Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho and Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.

Van de Beek saw influential former Ajax teammates Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt leave for Barcelona and Juventus respectively last summer.

But the 23-year-old remains committed to the Eredivisie side despite speculation that he will be next for a big move abroad.

"It is very messy, in any case a very messy period in terms of transfers," he admitted while speaking to Fox Sports. "Nothing is certain yet. I am still a player of Ajax and I am still proud to be there.

"If there had not been the coronavirus, it might have been different now. There is no clarity now and we have to wait and see how it turns out.

"I'm still here and after all these years I still have a lot of fun. If I also play at Ajax next season, I still have a lot of fun. You won't hear me complaining."

On the Sancho front, United remain intent on trying to seal a deal for the 20-year-old, despite Dortmund's insistences that the winger will not leave during this summer transfer window.
