V Festival returns as Olly Murs, Anne-Marie and Dizzee Rascal headline live ITV2 shows

OLLY Murs, Anne-Marie and Dizzee Rascal are going to headline V Festival as it makes its return to ITV2.

The festival - which has been cancelled since 2017 - will come back for a three day special this year.

Going back to its original location at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex, there will be three days of music between August 21 and 23.

The perfomers will take to the stage and fans will get to watch from home.

While Olly Murs, Anne-Marie and Dizzee Rascal are headlining each night, bosses have promised more acts will perform.

Meanwhile, fan favourties Maya Jama and Joel Dommett will be hosting hour-long episodes from the festival.

Not only will the shows include live music from the performers, but they promise a "nostalgic look back at the most iconic V Festival sets of all time".

There will also be interviews with the headliners so they can talk about their favourite moments of the festival.

Essex boy Olly said of the event: "V Festival holds a very special place in my heart (and liver), as not only did I used to go every year with my mates and camp as a punter, but I later got the chance to actually perform there and be invited back four times."

Anne-Marie added: "Although I won't get to see all your lovely faces in person, I can't wait to play for you all."

Glastonbury Festival may not be back until 2022 as founder Michael Eavis describes 2021 as 'wishful thinking'
