A major Liverpool road is closed ahead of rush hour after a man was struck by a car.
Muirhead Avenue East in Norris Green was shut heading away from the city after a man in his 60s was reportedly hit by a Vauxhall Corsa.
The road was shut from the junction with Lewisham Road, after the collision near the junction with Lingmell Road.

What we know so far
Police were called at 14:11 to reports of a collision between a white Vauxhall Corsa and a man in his 60s. The collision occurred at the junction of Muirhead Avenue East and Lingmell Road.
Police have closed the road from the junction of Lewisham Road, and the closure is expected to remain in place for the foreseeable future. There is no update on the condition of the man but he is being treated by paramedics at the scene
