Almost 200 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus in Ayrshire.

A total of 199 patients have tested positive for COVID-19 in the NHS Ayrshire & Arran region – this is up 22 on yesterday.

Across Scotland, 76 people have sadly died from coronavirus while 2,310 patients have now tested positive for the disease.

The total number of people who have been tested since the outbreak began stands at 17,007.

The first cases of coronavirus have also been recorded on the Western Isles and Orkney.

Figures were released this afternoon as part of the Scottish Government's daily update.
