The Sun

THE UK will be mainly dry this weekend, but temperatures will remain chilly and Sunday is predicted to be overcast.

Eastern parts of England will be cloudy with some rain or showers, the Met Office said.

Gale-force winds will pummel exposed areas along the Lincolnshire coastline and Norfolk, according to BBC Weather's Tomasz Schafernaker.

The Met Office has seven flood alerts in place after rain drenched the UK on Friday.

Bookmaker Coral has cut the odds on next month being the coldest October on record in the UK to 1-2 (from 5-4) as temperatures are set to plummet further over the next few days.
