UK Weather: Met Office predicts more scattered showers

AccuWeather forecasters warn that this pattern could continue for the next few days. The Meteorological Office issued a yellow alert for the UK on Thursday with torrential rain in London as rain is set to roll in to the southeast until around 10pm.
Unstable weather will continue into the weekend, with sporadic showers over most of the UK, and at times more consistent rain coming from the west and north-west, according to the UK Met Office.
The Environment Agency has issued 15 flood warnings, with up to 100 mm of rain likely in some areas.
Heavy rain flooded roads in England, Wales and Scotland on Tuesday after weeks of unprecedentedly hot and dry conditions.
Last month was declared his driest July in England in over 100 years.
Weather experts say the sun will continue to be strong, especially in the south and east, and temperatures will rise to 20 degrees Celsius.
He'll hit 24 degrees to 26 degrees this weekend in some places, but it won't feel like that heat wave.
However, little rain is still in the forecast, even in counties in the southeast and east of England.

Jo Farrow, Netweather.tv weather expert said: Strong winds are forecast to bring strong gusts along the west coast of Scotland and the north coast of Ireland.
"This will bring frontal rain over Ireland and north-west England on Friday night and Saturday morning. Showers will pour over more of Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom from the Atlantic Ocean. However, some areas remain dry and bright, sunny and warm.
``Predictions for the Edinburgh Festival are mixed.
"Risk of showers with intervening bright sunshine. Severe weather on Saturday with temperatures expected to be between 15 and 18 degrees

"There was then a lull later in the day and overnight before another low pressure began to move in from the west.
"The model will change for the next batch of rain.
"It is expected to reach Wales across the Irish Sea on Sunday afternoon and spread to western England and Northern Ireland by evening.
"There is some uncertainty as to the location of the small cyclone and as it moves eastward, which parts of the UK will see more heavy rain.
" The Netwx-MR model holds off Sunday's rain until early Monday, so Sunday will remain sunny with more warm sunshine, and less stormy than Saturday."
