UK Covid deaths soar by 131 in highest daily increase since MARCH – but cases down again

The Department for Heath has confirmed a further 131 people have died within 28 days of testing positive for COVID-19.

The figure is the highest day-on-day rise since March 17.

As of 9am on Tuesday, there has also been another 23,511 positive cases of coronavirus.

It is the seventh consecutive day the daily infection rate has fallen.
