Two men have died after an alleged disturbance at a property in Inverness last night.

Emergency crews raced to a flat in Balloan Road near the Hilton housing estate on Thursday evening around 10pm.

One man has been arrested following the alleged incident as police treat the deaths as 'suspicious'.

Uniform and plain clothed detectives plus ambulances, a doctor and scene of crime officers rushed to the incident and the area was cordoned off.

Dozens of police vehicles have been spotted in the area since the incident last night

They were there overnight and forensic examination of the scene was continuing on Friday morning.

At one stage, there were around a dozen vehicles in the vicinity.
