PRESIDENT Donald Trump has announced that he has contacted UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson's doctors to see "if we can be of help" during the coronavirus pandemic.

The news comes just hours after the PM was admitted to intensive care.

Trump said: "I also want to send best wishes to a very good friend of mine - and a friend of our nation.

"He's been a really good friend, something very special: strong, resolute, doesn't quit, doesn't give up.
