Tottenham suffer 1-0 Europa League defeat as fuming Mourinho makes FOUR half-time subs and Bale lasts less than an hour

TOTTENHAM paid the price for ringing the changes as they slipped to defeat in Antwerp.

Jose Mourinho’s side travelled to Belgium looking to extend their unbeaten run, tasking Gareth Bale with the opportunity to do that.

But the Welshman lasted less than an hour as Mourinho’s risky decision to make nine changes from the win at Burnley backfired as they went down 1-0.

Lior Refaelov scored on 29 minutes and Spurs were unable to find a way back.

That is despite Mourinho making four subs at the break and introducing Harry Kane into the action.
