Michael Gove has changed the name of his new Whitehall department - so it will be known as Deflup.
Mr Gove ousted Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick in last week’s Cabinet reshuffle and immediately went about giving himself new titles.
He will become the Secretary of State for Levelling Up - or Sosflup.
And the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government he takes over will be renamed the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
Mr Gove has also nabbed the title of Minister for Intergovernmental Relations in his souped up role overseeing elections and keeping the UK united in the face of Scottish independence demands.
And former Bank of England Chief Economist Andy Haldane was hired as the new boss of a Levelling Up Taskforce.
He has been seconded to the Cabinet Office from the Royal Society of Arts for six months.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “Andy is uniquely qualified to lead our efforts to raise living standards.”
Mr Gove added: “We have a unique opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives.”
Mr Haldane said: “Levelling up has been a personal passion throughout my career.”
There is now a £4.8 billion fund earmarked for improving town centres and high streets and upgrading local transport.
Mr Gove gave up his role as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster when he took over the housing brief from ousted Tory Robert Jenrick.
He was grinning ear-to-ear when he arrived at Downing Street to discuss his new role with the PM, which is regarded as a promotion.
It comes after an eventful summer for Mr Gove as he announced he was getting divorced from his wife Sarah Vine.
He hit the headlines in August when he astonished partygoers by taking to the dance floor in an Aberdeen nightclub.
The 54-year-old was spotted dancing enthusiastically to techno music on what appeared to be a solo night out in the Scottish city.
He even reportedly tried to dodge paying the £5 entry fee by boasting he was the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster - but a friend denied the claims.
Mr Gove grew up in Aberdeen and was visiting family in the area.Read More Read More
