Topless protester disrupts Bernie Sanders rally to lecture him over supporting the dairy industry

A TOPLESS protester interrupted a Bernie Sanders campaign rally today in Nevada and lectured him about his support of the dairy industry.

New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio had just announced Sanders to the Carson City crowd when the eye-popping incident took place.

"Bernie, I'm your biggest supporter, and I'm here to ask you to stop pumping up the dairy industry and to stop pumping up animal agriculture," she said, according to The New York Post.

I believe in you ..."

She was then confronted by security.

The protester was identified by The Hill as Priya Sawhney of the Animal Rights Network Direct Action Everywhere.

A series of women then marched across the stage with pictures of cows, and other topless protesters also tried to confront the presidential hopeful.

"This is Nevada. There's always a little excitement - at no extra cost," Sanders told the crowd, according to the Post.

"Except we have a lot of water on the stage."

Sawhney said in a statement that "if Bernie truly cares about justice, he will stop propping up the dairy industry, which relies on the abuse of female cows."

"I love Bernie, but we most hold abusive industries accountable, not shield and subsidize them.

"Animal farming is an industry which gives welfare payments to millionaires.

"People are fed up. Like the Sanders campaign itself, animal rights is a burgeoning mass movement."

The topless protesters were taken into custody.
