A top GQ model has told how she feared her career was in tatters when she was “punched in the face by a security man” at a top Turkish nightspot.

Daria Kyryliuk, 24, posted an horrific picture of her cut and bloodied, saying she suffered a “panic attack” as a result of the violence.

American-based Kyryliuk has made a formal legal complaint alleging she was struck by a security guard at The Beach of Momo bar and restaurant complex in resort Çeşme on the Aegean Sea.

Her boyfriend, Baran Güneş, who is Turkish with US citizenship, said that he was seeking to protect the couple’s friend, wealthy property magnate Mansour Bin Jabr Al Suwaidi, 34, a rally driving scion from the United Arab Emirates, who was allegedly hit by the same security man before the model was struck.

“The person who hit me opened the front door of the vehicle and punched me,” she said.

Daria's face was covered in blood afterwards

“When I looked at my face in the car on my way home, I was terrified - and panicked, thinking that my face was covered in blood, my eyes were like balloons, and my career would end.

“When we got home, my panic continued.”

She said: "I was getting to the rear seat, and the same guard climbed to the front seat and hit me.

"I was hysterical, I got a panic attack, my face all in blood."

The case - in which three other women were allegedly beaten - has even become a diplomatic issue, with Ukraine calling in Turkey’s senior envoy to demand a thorough probe into the “violent attack” on the model on 3 August.

The restaurant - now closed by the Turkish authorities in the wake of the incident - earlier claimed grainy CCTV video showed Kyryliuk had been “battered by her boyfriend”.

But she said: “I saw the security hit Mansour with a punch.

“Baran also tried to separate Mansour with the security guard.”

As other security operatives rushed in, she begged them not to strike her boyfriend, and this is when she was punched.

Businessman Güneş denied assaulting anyone and said he had tried to protect first Mansour then his girlfriend who suffered a “panic attack”.

Police are reportedly seeking to interview the director of the beach club's security service named Kadir K.

But a neighbour living close to the house rented by Kyryliuk and Güneş said they had witnessed an argument between three people and “a girl being beaten”, reported Hurriyet newspaper.

“She left the house and tried to hide,” said the witness.

“I went up to her, and she said that she had had a fight with her boyfriend. I called the police."

The model, who once posed for GQ, was scared her career could end

And a video seems to show her backing away from her boyfriend - which she explains as her reaction as she suffered the "panic attack".

A friend told Strana news outlet in Ukraine: "He never raised a hand to her, they have such a respectful relationship.

“They want to make Daria and her boyfriend look guilty.”

The model - who has posed for British GQ - said: "This is crazy when they are claiming, first they beat me and my boyfriend up, then they are claiming that he hit me.

“This is unbelievable the lengths that Momo will go in order to trash me and my boyfriend.”

Turkish culture and tourism minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said he “vehemently condemned” the attack on the model.

“The people responsible will be held accountable.”

Kyryliuk thanked the tourism minister for his support and “sensitivity” , and Turkish people for “sharing my pain”.

“I also know that with the true justice of the Turkish system, this will swiftly be resolved and those who are responsible will be punished immediately,” she said.
