One of the most difficult decision for soon-to-be parents is deciding on a name with so many considerations to take on board.

However, one thing many won't ever think about is how a child's name can impact their future.

According to research carried out by Click4Reg.co.uk your first name can determine your future salary with boys called Jeremy predicted to pick up the largest salary while those called Henry stand to earn much less.

For the results, the team took data from more than 500,000 CVs and extracted their first name and salary.

For girls those named Liz are the higher-earners while those called Paige are predicted to earn around £18,000 less.

There was also a huge gender pay gap between the highest earning female name and the highest earning male name.
