Toni Kroos is reportedly on Manchester City's radar as the German midfielder enters the final 18 months of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid are said to be hoping to follow a similar blueprint with Kroos as they did with Modric which will see him extend his stay in the Spanish capital beyond his current deal.

However, Modric's extension hasn't lived up to its billing and may force Florentino Perez into a corner in regards to allowing the German World Cup winner to leave.

According to El Nacional, Pep Guardiola has been in discussions with Kroos which is said to have 'seduced' the midfielder and may play a part in determining his future.

It has been said that the 31-year-old doesn't want to see out the remainder of his playing career on the bench and after his retirement from the national team, he wants to play as much as possible.

Kroos is familiar with Guardiola's rotation policy and the report suggests his presence on the team would be guaranteed.

The Blues manager and the midfielder spent a year together in Munich prior to his move to Los Blancos but any decision on his future will not be made until the January transfer window.
