Tiger King zoo raided by police over fears ‘human remains found in alligator pen’

COPS raided the private zoo once owned by Tiger King star Joe Exotic over fears human remains had been found in the alligator enclosure.

Agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and deputies from Garvin County Sheriff’s Office rushed to Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park on Friday.

They were called into action after cadaver dogs alerted their handlers to the possibility of human remains, reports ABC news.

The dogs were in the animal park while being filmed for an episode of the show 'Ghost Adventures', the zoo’s current operator Jeff Lowe revealed.

Law enforcement sources later revealed no human remains were found.

However, they did uncover bones which appeared to be the skeleton of small animal with a tail.

Earlier handlers said they were convinced two specially-trained dogs had picked up the scent of body parts.

Joe Exotic had owned the park before he was imprisoned after being convicted in April 2019 of conspiring to kill animal rights activist Carole Baskin.

However, the zoo - made famous by the Netflix show Tiger King -  will not be in Lowe’s hands for much longer.

A federal judge last month granted Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue control of the zoo once owned ber her nemesis.

He ruled in favor of Baskin in a lawsuit against the Greater Wynnewood Development Group, LLC.

The latter company once was owned by Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage.

The order gives Baskin control of about 16 acres of land in Garvin County, Oklahoma, that is home to an animal park with an array of big cats.

's Big Cat Rescue was also granted ownership of several additional cabins and multiple vehicles on the property.

Baskin, who owns an animal sanctuary in Florida, had long been a vocal critic of Joe Exotic's animal park, a feud that escalated into a court battle.

He was convicted last year in a murder for hire plot against Baskin and is serving a 22 year sentence for the hit attempt and other crimes that include the animal abuse.

Court documents allege he tried to pay a hit man $3,000 to kill Baskin and also that he shot and killed five tigers, sold baby lemurs and falsified paperwork to say they were donated.

Baskin became a worldwide known figure after Tiger King dropped in March and made her the center of conspiracy theories that she had something to do with her husband Don Lewis' disappearance.

The animal rescuer was also the target of violent threats from Exotic who claimed Carole was the reason his business was failing.
