WANT to fix your kitchen up on a tight budget? Then look no further, as one DIY fan had the perfect solution to updating her tired-looking kitchen.
Her thrifty idea meant there was no need to rip out the old kitchen units, it didn't require calling in professionals and, more importantly, it doesn't break the bank.
All it involved was stocking up on some paint, investing in some new cupboard handles and a few stylish finishing touches.
TikTok user Charlotte Greedy shared how she turned her dull white and dated kitchen into a sleek and modern monochrome kitchen by painting everything - including the worktops and sink.
Showing off the process on social media, Charlotte bought tins of black and white Universal All Surface paint that costs around £11 and can be snapped up from Amazon or Homebase.
She first gave her cupboards a face lift by painting all cupboard doors and edges black, before then layering down protective sheeting and spray painting her sink - covering everything from the draining board to the taps in a metallic gold.
Next up was the worktops and tiles that she coated with white paint and she secured match and she jazzed up her cupboards with brass bar handles to match her now statement sink.
She finished it all off with black and gold kitchen appliances to suit the room's colour scheme, monochrome tea towels and a fancy new drying rack for the sink (Amazon, £37), which people seemed to be obsessed with.
Her transformation video has now been watched online over 6million times, with people loving the before and after.
"Looks way better than before," said one person.
Another commented: "Curious how the sink holds up after spray paint!! Gorgeous makeover."
One more said: "I was very sceptical when I seen the gold sink but after watching the whole video!!!!! I'm in love fantastic job (sic)."
A fourth added: "Ain't it amazing what you can do with a few tins of paint and hard work x it's fab xx."
Not everyone was convinced that the kitchen's savvy paint job would hold up, with some voicing their concerns over the paint chipping.
"Does anyone know if it scratches off... I used actual tile paint and two years down the line it's half off," said one fellow DIY fan.
Another commented: "I love these but can't help but think about how it's not a long term fix n will chip (sic)."
One critic commented: "Just wait till it all chips. Nice for a day or so."
However, Charlotte proved them wrong as she later fired back in another video that her painted worktops were still going strong five days later.
