THIS Morning fans noticed Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford made a cheeky dig at Alison Hammond on Friday.
The presenting duo joked about Alison's singing during a preview of her interview with singer, John Legend.
Eamonn and Ruth played the preview of Alison's interview, which saw her and John belting out his hit, Ordinary People, to each other.
Alison was seen dancing away as they sang during the animated video call.
Eammon quipped after watching it: "I am not sure if it's an interview or if they will just sing to each other for five minutes."
One viewer thought Ruth pulled a mock grimace when the camera cut back to her after the preview.
"Ruth’s face when it cut back to them there from the Alison and John Legend clip," the fan tweeted.
Another wrote: “'Or should we say John Legend met superstar Alison Hammond'. Shade with style!”
A third asked: "Are you trying to wind Ruth up, bringing barmy Alison on?"
Earlier this week it was confirmed that Eamonn and Ruth are being replaced with Alison and Dermot O'Leary on This Morning after 13 years.
They will no longer front the weekly Friday installment of the programme, instead only stepping in for Holly and Phil during their half term and summer holiday breaks.
Ruth and Eamonn described their departure from the Friday show after 14 years as "a changing of the guard", saying: "We hope you make Alison and Dermot as welcome as you’ve made us over the years. Have a ball, you two!"
Referring to their new role covering Phil and Holly during holidays, they added: "It’s not Goodbye from us, it’s simply Au Revoir until the next half term."
Alison, who joined This Morning in 2003, will take over with X Factor host Dermot from January 8.
The Sun exclusively revealed that Alison has been having duty of care meetings with ITV after struggling with trolling over the replacement.
The ex-I'm a Celebrity star, 45, has been putting on a brave front while being hit with abuse from furious viewers.
A source said: "Alison is a tough cookie, but the vitriol from some so-called fans of This Morning has been impossible for her to ignore."
