This Morning's Alice Beer had her segment on home security interrupted by her neighbour in a very ironic live TV blunder.

She was telling viewers which the best security systems were along with tips and tricks for ensuring your home is not broken into, or you have the best technology for if it does.

The segment was filmed from Alice's house due to social distancing, as hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes were in the studio.

Eagle-eyed viewers noticed the hilarious gaffe as a mystery woman walked into the background of the shot, then ran away.

Alice was blissfully unaware she was the subject of a home invasion herself

One viewer tweeted: "Apparently Alice's Neighbour is Mortified... Cue @thismorning show the invasion again n again n again".

"Was that Alice Beers mum who photo bombed at the start ? #ThisMorning," questioned another.

"Does Alice know there's someone nicking a painting right behind her while she's talking about burglar alarms?!" added a third.

Ruth and Eamonn joked they would be sending the clip to CrimeWatch

" #thismorning oops burglar spotted behind alice with picture in hand," wrote a fourth.

"WELL WHO KNEW.......ON @thismorning TODAY TOP CONSUMER EXPERT @_alicebeer WAS CHATTING ABOUT WHATS ON TODAYS MARKET TO SECURE YOUR HOME FROM BEING BURGLED...WATCH OUT AT THE BACK, ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE FOR ALICE’S NEIGHBOUR TRYING TO ESCAPE WITH A FRAMED PICTURE," joked another.

Eamonn then addressed the incident after the segment had ended.

"We just want to say, when we were doing the security item live from Gloucestershire not so long ago, Alice Beer was outside her home and there was, caught on security camera, looked like someone stealing a painting from her home there,' he explained.

"It happened live on this programme and we are going to send this clip to CrimeWatch.

"Alice phoned and said, 'Don't worry that was only my neighbour, coming over and being neighbourly.'"
