  1. Ernst & Young

    The professional services firm is advertising 230 UK jobs in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Leeds, Birmingham and Belfast.

    Departments include tax, assurance, consulting, strategy and transactions, financial services, and core business services.

    According to EY, the profile and application take about 30 minutes to complete, but candidates need to fill out an application form for each role they apply for.

  2. Babcock International

    Babcock, which provides engineering services in the UK and internationally, is advertising 163 jobs.

    The 130-year-old company works across three key markets including defence, emergency services and civil nuclear.

    The business has published special guidance for applicants during the Covid-19 pandemic.

    Interviews may not be in the traditional face-to-face format, according to the business, and new starters may not experience a “typical Babcock induction”.

  3. Citibank

    The global financial services firm is advertising 341 roles around the UK.

    Just some of the roles listed on the website include finance, alternative investments, business change, tax, project management, commodities, market risk, privacy lawyer, operations and compliance.

    The company advises spending some time learning about the organisation before applying for roles.

    The business is conducting all candidate interviews virtually on a temporary basis until further notice.

  4. BAE Systems

    The multinational defence and aerospace giant is advertising 154 roles for experienced professionals.

    There are 34 roles in Cumbria, 31 in Hampshire, 24 in Lancashire, 16 in Dorset, 16 in Surrey and 13 in Bristol.

    Job available at BAE include engineering, IT, finance, operations, project management, flight operations, manufacturing, commercial, quality, business support.

    It is only conducting interviews remotely during the pandemic.

  5. Mitie

    Mitie provides facilities management, consultancy and project management in the UK and is currently advertising hundreds of jobs.

    The company works across the security, engineering, catering, cleaning and environmental services, care and custody, and professional service sector.

    The business employs 54,000 people in Britain and has more than 100 offices around the country.

  6. Haven

    Haven is creating hundreds of jobs at its holiday parks across the UK as a result of more people opting for staycations.

    Roles will be available across 37 of Haven’s parks from this month on both full and part-time contracts and cover a range of positions such as accommodation cleaners, coaches, support team members, cleaning operations managers and cleaning people managers.

  7. Grant Thornton

    The accountancy firm currently has 95 jobs for experienced professionals advertised on its website.

    This includes 54 audit, 23 advisory, 12 client services, and six tax jobs.

  8. Microsoft

    The computer giant is currently advertising 33 jobs in the UK.

    It is recruiting 26 of those roles at its big office in Reading as well as three in Manchester, two in London, one in Belfast and one in Edinburgh.

    The Microsoft campus in Reading has multiple cafes and restaurants; a gym; nursery; and supermarket.

    Staff who work there also get perks such as year-round drinks and ice cream in the summer.

    Amazon is looking to hire more than 1,000 people from all around the UK.

    Jobs range from delivery drivers to software engineers to data experts to security consultants to HR management roles.

    Non-clinical jobs include administration, fitness, cleaning, and sales and business development positions.

    The social media behemoth is recruiting 136 jobs at its UK head office in London.

    The majority of roles being advertised at Facebook are software engineer and tech roles, but there are also product marketing, executive assistant and communications jobs.

    The telecoms business is advertising 112 UK and Ireland roles.

    BT ‘career areas’ include technology, customer service, Openreach, security, sales, corporate functions, digital marketing and products, media and TV, business services, commercial services, graduates and apprentices, and engineering.

    Royal Mail is looking to hire people to 169 positions - and the jobs are all around the UK.

    To apply to be a postie, candidates need to apply through Royal Mail's career page and upload a CV.

    Within 24 hours of submitting an application, candidates will receive an invite to an online assessment, according to the website, which must be completed within 24 hours.

    The application and test results will be considered at shortlisting stage - normally within a week of the advert closing.
