Escape Into The Park makes its long awaited return to Singleton Park this weekend, a decade on after the once popular event was last held in Swansea.

From 1995 to 2011, the event created a decade of memories for a generation of people from Swansea and beyond, and in many ways defined an era which was renowned for the emergence of dance music and the culture which went with it.

Excitement was at fever pitch in June 2019 when it was announced that Escape Into The Park would be making a comeback at its home at Swansea's Singleton Park.

And now, after an initial delay due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event is officially going ahead on Saturday, September 25 .

Huge numbers of people are set to embark on the park to watch the likes of Jax Jones, Chase & Status, Eddie Halliwell, Mousse T, Sam Divine, Hybrid Minds, Chicane, Judge Jules, Cally & Juice, K Motionz and more.

And accordingly, road closures are going to be in place to ensure everyone who attends can enter and leave safely. They are as follows:-

Brynmill Lane (between Oystermouth Road and Bryn Road roundabout) will be closed from 1pm until 1am.

Mumbles Road (between Sketty Lane and Gorse Lane) will be closed at the end of the night between 10pm and 11.30pm.

Jamie Watkins, investor and director at Escape Records, said: "I understand how important it is to bring it back to Singleton Park in the way that it was.

"I'm super excited to make it happen, we have had huge challenges along the way, we had some funding in Covid to help us through, thank you to the governments fund. We're hoping to get to about 8-10,000 (tickets sold) by the time the show is on. We have got a wonderful line up.

"Thankful for an amazing team who have worked tirelessly and diligently the last 18 months to make this event happen along with the leadership of my co founders at Escape Records Adam, Mark and our new board director Simon.

"We are all looking forward to September 25 for a big party in Singleton Park, Swansea. Come join us."
