For the past few weeks we've been allowed to meet friends and enjoy an outdoor meal in a restaurant for the first time this year.
But the changeable weather has made for a few chilly visits to your favourite Indian or Italian.
The Welsh Government is expected to confirm this week that indoor dining can reopen from Monday May 17, meaning you'll be able to go out without the need to bring your umbrella and jacket.
Here's a list of the places in Newport where you can already book an indoor table from next week.
Monusk Tapas and Wine Bar
The popular riverside tapas restaurant Monusk is already offering customers the option to book a table inside, and it's also keeping its wine Wednesday and fizz Friday deals in place.
The restaurant said it's also looking at bringing back live music when it can do so, and will also be operating outdoor tables weather permitting.

Red Fort, Caerleon
Red Fort in Caerleon has been a go-to for lovers of a good Indian ever since they first opened their doors in April 2019, and they've said they "cannot wait to welcome everyone back inside" next week.

Family business Mamma Lina's in Rogerstone, run by Gianluca Pandolfi and Massimo Intriglia, is fondly loved within the community for its delicious pastas, pizzas and Italian dishes, and they've also confirmed that they'll be reopening next week.
The restaurant could not open under the newest rules as they do not have an outdoor dining area, but places are already filling up for its indoor dining.
"We cannot wait to welcome you back into the restaurant. So many friends to catch up with, the laughter and smiles, the constant flow of freshly prepared Italian dishes being served direct from the kitchen to your tables," the restaurant said.

Dino and Tracy Gulotta have run Villa Dino Italian restaurant on Chepstow Road for 36 years. Earlier this year Mr Gulotta spoke about how "extremely stressful and emotional" the pandemic has been for the business, which like many has spent months closed.

mEAT Bar and Grill
Located on Clytha Road, mEAT Bar and Grill is your one-stop shop for burgers of all varieties - from chilli con carne to Mexican style and all the classics, it's one not to miss.
They'll be reopening indoors from Friday, May 21, with bookings available by emailing [email protected] or messaging their Facebook page.

The Dirty Food Company
One of the newest additions to Newport's food scene, the Dirty Food Company opened on Station Road in Baneswell last year during lockdown.
Inspired by Old Brooklyn, the restaurant offers burgers, hot dogs, ribs, wings, sides, salads and desserts.

The Ridgeway Bistro Bar
The Ridgeway Bistro Bar recently reopened outdoors with its marquee, and it's confirmed it will be welcoming customers back indoors as well next week.

The New Lahore on Lower Dock Street claims to be Newport's oldest curry house, and underwent a refurbishment during the first lockdown last year.

An unassuming little restaurant and coffee shop, Marenghi's on Chepstow Road has always been popular for its traditional Sicilian and Italian cuisine since opening eight years ago.

The Priory, Caerleon
This popular foodie spot, based in a gorgeous monastery dating back to 1180, has announced it will be reopening for indoor bookings from next week having already reopened its terrace restaurant outdoors last month to great fanfare.

Once famous for steam trains going to Brecon and all over the UK, Bassaleg steam box is now the location of Junction 28 where you'll find anything from braised beef in red wine to authentic Neapolitan pizza and Sunday lunches.
The restaurant will reopen from Wednesday, May 19 and said it is "putting together the final touches at the restaurant to welcome you all back for in house dining."

Family-run Italian Vittorio's has been serving authentic Italian cuisine in Newport for over 30 years and will be reopening next week indoors.
