A TEENAGER was killed when a car with eight people inside crashed into a taxi.

Two others suffered serious injuries and are fighting for their life.

The car smashed head-on into the taxi, which was driving in the other direction, in the early hours in Tongham, Surrey.

All seven passengers and the taxi driver were rushed to hospital. The taxi did not have passengers.

Detective Sergeant Kani Barawi, who is dealing with the incident, said: “Our thoughts remain with the families of the boys involved in this tragic incident, which has left one teenager dead and two more in a serious condition in hospital.

“We are working hard to establish the circumstances of the crash and would appeal to anyone with any information to contact us straightaway.”
