Tonight's Sunderland U23s game against Nottingham Forest U23 has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

The Black Cats were due to take on Forest in a Premier League 2 game at Eppleton this evening in a 7pm kick-off, but the club has announced that the fixture will not now take place.

In a statement on the club website, Sunderland said: "Due to the severe weather conditions caused by Storm Arwen over the past 72 hours, the decision has been made to call the match off with the playing surface deemed frozen and unplayable."
