Dev Griffin admitted he was "absolutely gutted" after becoming the third celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing tonight.
Pro dancer Dianne was left in tears over the bombshell exit, which left viewers utterly stunned tonight.
This weekend saw the competition heat up as the 13 remaining celebrity couples took to the dance floor to perform an array of live glittering ballroom and Latin routines.
However fans watched in shock as Dev and Dianne were left in the bottom two and forced to face the dance-off against Viscountess Emma Weymouth and her partner Aljaž Škorjanec.
Despite not receiving the lowest scores last night, the two couples found themselves having to perform their routines again after the combined public vote and judges’ scores from last night left them in the vulnerable dance-off position.
Dev, 34, looked shocked and upset at the news of his departure as all judges chose to save Emma and Aljaž after their second performance of the Jive to Kids in America.
He told host Tess: "I’m not going to lie I am absolutely gutted.
"But learning how to dance, hanging out with Dianne and the other pros and celebs… I’ve absolutely loved it."
Dev and Dianne looked unable to contain their disappointment and emotions as they embraced in a hug. Dianne, who was a finalist on Strictly Come Dancing last year with her now-boyfriend Joe Sugg , appeared close to tears as her hopes of winning the glitterball trophy came crashing down.
Dianne praised Dev for his hard work. She emotionally announced: " Dev has been absolutely amazing. His work ethic is insane.
"I see him everywhere practising and I couldn’t have asked for a better partner.
She added: "Thank you so much for all your time and your effort. This boy has so much talent, I’m really sad he won’t be able to show you guys any more of it."
During Saturday night's live show, Dev bounced onto the dance floor and performed the Cha Cha to Dancing With a Stranger by Sam Smith featuring Normani. They scored 27, while Viscountess Emma and Aljaž's Jive to Kids in America scored 28.
Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden soared to the top of the week four leaderboard with their passionate Tango performance, while Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse's saucy Rumba followed close behind.
At the other end of last night's score table were Alex Scott and Neil Jones, who finished last with 23. However, the public chose to save Alex Scott and fellow celebrity Will Bayley, who came second from last on the leaderboard with 24.
Dev is the third celebrity to be voted off the show and he joins fellow booted off stars Anneka Rice and James Cracknell.
Anneka Rice and Kevin Clifton received the lowest score last week. They were awarded a total of 11 points for their Charleston to Woo Hoo from Kill Bill.James Cracknell was the first celebrity to be voted off the dance show after struggling to impress on the dancefloor with his professional partner Luba Mushtuk .
