Strictly Come Dancing 2021 – Gordon Ramsay praises Tilly’s exit as viewers fear Motsi Mabuse will miss show AGAIN

GORDON Ramsay has praised his daughter Tilly on doing a "great job" on Strictly Come Dancing.

The celebrity chef, 55, congratulated the talented 20-year-old - who narrowly missed out on a place in the quarter-finals.

"It's a celebration," Gordon told The One Show.

Meanwhile, Strictly fans fear Motsi Mabuse will miss a second week of the show following the government's updated travel rules.

The show judge shared a video from Berlin hotel on Instagram today after completing her isolation period following contact with someone who had Covid.

However, on Sunday, following the discovery of the Omicron coronavirus variant in South Africa, Boris Johnson moved quickly to introduce a new rule whereby any one flying into the UK needs to take a PCR test within two days of arrival and must isolate until they receive a negative result.

It means if Motsi flies to the UK tomorrow she will have just 72 hours to prove she is negative.

The theme for Strictly's last round has yet to be revealed. Based on past editions, finalists will be performing up to three routines in the hopes of dancing all the way to victory.

There is typically the traditional show dance and celebrities will reprise two past dances of the programme.

One of them will be chosen by the Strictly judges who, as usual, will be giving the stars feedback and tips on how to improve their groove.

The public alone can decide who wins as the marks from the judges are only for guidance.

While the theme is expected to be disclosed in the weeks ahead of the Strictly final, details of the quarter-finals have been released.

The show expected to air on Saturday, December 4, 2021, will feature hits from Gloria Estefan to Phil Collins and tango and salsa routines.

One celebrity will be booted off the dance floor on Sunday, December 5.

But proud dad Gordon, 55, had only good things to say about the pair, writing on Instagram: “Words can’t describe how proud I am of these 2, hard working polite humble and incredibly down to earth.

Most of all well done and what a celebration of youth and how happy it makes me feel. The future is bright and you 2 will continue to shine lots of love dad.”

The show judge shared a video from Berlin hotel on Instagram today after completing her isolation period following contact with someone who had Covid.

Motsi was replaced by Cynthia Erivo on the Strictly panel on Saturday while she quarantined until today's date.

However, on Sunday, following the discovery of the Omicron coronavirus variant in South Africa, Boris Johnson moved quickly to introduce a new rule whereby any one flying into the UK needs to take a PCR test within two days of arrival and must isolate until they receive a negative result.

  • Amy on her flare up

Amy explained that her fiance Ben Jones was in Blackpool for work when she suffered the flare-up, but Tom has been more than happy to step up to the plate.

Sharing a selection of photos taken over the last few days, Amy included snaps of herself in her hospital bed as she explained what has happened.

She wrote: "I had an unexpected Crohn’s flare up and hospital admission in which I received unbelievable care. I’m recovering very well and certainly being well looked after and look forward to returning to the dance floor.

"Big thanks to lovely @saradaviescc and @tomfletcher for taking care of me (of all the days to be poorly, Ben was in Blackpool with the dance school).

"To the Fletchers, who made sure I had everything and more at the hospital, have brought me back to theirs where the whole family are giving me all the love, care, burnt toast (Tom), unlimited supply of @mrsgifletcher clothes along with @tomfletcher sock choice😜 you could possibly need, lots of drawings and pretend injections from my new doctors Buzz, Buddy and Max.

  • Strictly’s Amy Dowden MOVES IN with celeb partner

STRICTLY Come Dancing's Amy Dowden has MOVED IN with her celebrity partner Tom Fletcher and wife Giovanna after she was rushed to hospital with a Crohn's flare-up.

The pair were eliminated from the BBC dance show earlier this month, but have remained incredibly close friends - in fact, she almost appears to be part of the Fletcher family.

Throughout various social media posts, it has been revealed that Amy was with Tom and fellow Stricly 2021 contestant Sara Davies when she fell ill - and Tom had to carry her out of the house to the ambulance.

Since she was discharged, Amy has been living with Tom, his wife Gi, and their three sons - seven-year-old Buzz, five-year-old Buddy, and three-year-old Max.

She has been wearing Giovanna's clothes, Tom's Star Wars socks, and is being given breakfast of burnt toast from her former dance partner - as well as sweet Get Well Soon messages from the kids.

  • Strictly's Sarah keeping to a budget

Earlier this month it was revealed how rich Sara - who is worth a whopping £37million - had previously admitted to being "tight" and always searching for supermarket bargains.

In an earthed conversation with the Sunday People, Sara said: “Growing up, if something was reduced with a big sticker on it in Asda, we would call it a ‘whoopsie’.

"Smoked salmon was my mum’s favourite thing but in our house we would only ever buy it if it was ‘on whoopsie’ and greatly reduced.

"I grew up thinking smoked salmon was as luxurious as it gets in the food market.

“To this day, with all the money I have, I will only ever buy smoked salmon in the supermarket if it is on offer.

The mum-of-two also shuns luxurious holidays for camping holidays like she enjoyed in her childhood.

  • Strictly star Sara Davies posts pic of rarely seen lookalike sister

SARA Davies thrilled fans with a sweet snap of her rarely seen lookalike sister, as they enjoyed a wine-and-cheese night at home.

The Dragons' Den entrepreneur, 37, is enjoying some time off, after her Strictly journey came to an end a few weeks ago.

Taking to Instagram Sara posted the adorable picture of her sister, Helen Johnson, after she popped around "to watch Strictly".

In the sweet snap, Helen can be seen with a glass of prosecco and an incredible cheese platter.

Sara wrote on the photo: "When your sister turns up to watch Strictly with you."

She then added: "I really don't need another night of prosecco and cheese, but then it would be rude not to."

  • Nikita and Tilly's strong connection

Strictly viewers have picked up on Nikita and Tilly's strong connection, and even accused them of "flirting" in past TV appearances.

They have previously denied falling victim to the infamous Strictly Curse, with Nikita's girlfriend Nicole Wirt even jetting to London from Germany to meet his celeb partner.

And when judges voted to save Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu on Sunday, Tilly thanked everyone who'd been involved in her Strictly journey, including her "best friend" Nikita.

The 20-year-old said: "I’d just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has made this an amazing, positive journey for me.

“From everyone here to backstage, wardrobe, make up and camera crew. It’s just been the most extraordinary time.

“I found out something about myself that I didn’t know I could do, I didn’t know I could dance and have fun like this."

  • Strictly’s Tilly & Nikita squirm over romance rumours

STRICTLY pair Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin squirmed on the It Takes Two sofa last night after Rylan Clarke teased them over romance rumours.

It followed the pro-dancer's jaw-dropping topless dance-off on the BBC competition over the weekend.

Rylan joked with the TV couple after Nikita accused Gordon Ramsay's daughter of unbuttoning "my button".

Tilly and Nikita were eliminated from Sunday's show, but not before they danced the Samba and Nikita suffered a wardrobe malfunction and removed his shirt mid-shimmy.

As Rylan questioned them about Nikita's shirt and how it "fell off", the dancer confirmed the top "had a mind of its own".

But he added: "But, the first step was Tilly's, she was the one who unbuttoned my button."

While Tilly cried: "That's not true!"

Rylan exclaimed: "This is how rumours start, come on!"

As Nikita called for viewers to check footage of the show, Tilly explained: "My hand got caught - my hand pulled your shirt!"

Ryan added sarcastically: "My hand accidentally unbuttoned your shirt...

"That’s how it starts babe, trust me!"

  • Who is Amy Dowden's fiancé Ben Jones?

Much like the Strictly choreographer, Ben is a professional dancer and has been trotting alongside Amy for several years.

The couple were once British National Latin Dance champions, becoming the first all-British pair to win the competition.

Both have decided to help others follow their passion for dancing and run the Art in Motion dance school in Dudley, in the West Midlands.

Not much else is known about Ben as he keeps a low profile, allowing his partner to bask alone in the spotlight.

Unlike Amy, he is not active on any social media platforms, although he can sometimes be seen with his wife in frequent posts shared on their school's official Instagram profile.

The couple have also walked the red carpet together on many occasions but Ben remains adamant on staying away from the limelight altogether.

  • Rylan pressures Nikita to slam judges (Continued...)

Tilly giggled as Nikita decided to still respond with diplomacy.

“I agree with this absolutely because samba is the most difficult dance,” Nikita explained.

“Samba is a difficult dance. You have different body rhythms to do your steps with, you have different actions.

“You have feet actions, you have arms – you have some many things you have to do.”

“At the same you have to be sassy, you have to do all the beautiful shimmy things that Tilly did.

    “So unfortunately, yeah I agree.”

  • Rylan pressures Nikita to slam judges

Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin were the latest duo to be booted from the show.

They appeared on It Takes Two where host Rylan Clark probed Nikita about the judges scoring.

“Do you think, Nikita, that justified the lower scoring?”

But when Nikita hesitated to be critical, Rylan shouted: “Come on! You’re out now! You can say what you wanna say, come on.”
