Police have descended on a north London neighbourhood after a stabbing outside a McDonald's.
Officers are currently on the scene at Colindeep Lane and Zenith Close in Barnet following the incident at 6:40pm on Monday evening.
Police have confirmed the victim is in a critical condition.
A local witness claims they were seen running into the Colindale McDonald's after being stabbed at an estate across the road.
"I was sitting inside and heard all these police sirens. I saw two cops running into the McDonalds with stunned people crowding outside," they said.
"Then the air ambulance came down and the paramedics ran to help.
"This happened in broad daylight. It's horrific. I was told the person was stabbed on our estate and then ran across the toad and stumbled into the McDonalds.
"The whole area is now taped off waiting for forensics. We can't get in or out.
"Two years ago there was another stabbing here and the guy died. People don't feel safe anymore."
The public is urged to avoid the area, including local restaurants, as there are road closures in place.
No arrests have been made and anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote CAD7150/10Aug.
