Spurs player ratings: Eriksen has a stinker while Moura’s wonder goal caps solid performance for Brazilian vs Olympiakos

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN had an absolute stinker as Tottenham escaped Olympiakos with a 2-2 draw in their Champions League Group B opener.

Spurs raced into a 2-0 lead within half an hour completely against the run of play thanks to a penalty won and converted by Harry Kane and a super strike from Lucas Moura.

But the Greeks nicked one back just before half-time before scoring a penalty of their own through Mathieu Valbuena on 54 minutes.

And here's how William Pugh thought Spurs applied themselves in Greece.

Hugo Lloris - 6

Didn't put a foot wrong in the first-half and couldn't be blamed for the first two goals he conceded. Flapped at a late cross which could have thrown the game away. Got away with it.

Davinson Sanchez - 6

Applied himself well enough as makeshift right-back again. Nothing spectacular but nothing horrific either.

Toby Alderweirled - 5

Very average indeed. Let down by his central defensive partner who had a bit of a mare.

Jan Vertonghen - 4

Looked sluggish from the off. Caught in no mans land for Olympiakos' opener. Gave away the pen for the second and will probably want to forget tonight fairly quickly.

Ben Davies - 6

Done well to win ball high up the pitch and ping a lovely ball across to Moura for Spurs' second. Couldn't do much for the Greeks' first goal despite it being played down his side. No shame in his performance.

Tanguy Ndombele - 4 (subbed off 61 mins)

Virtually invisible until he was hauled off on the hour mark. These are the nights he should be paying back the club record fee paid for him and he did anything but that.

Harry Winks - 6

Ran around slightly more than everyone else in the first-half which isn't saying much. Booked late on.

Lucas Moura - 7 (subbed off 75 mins)

Sumptuous finish from the edge of the box to put Spurs 2-0 up against the run of play on the half-hour mark. Carried on his rich vein of Champions League form from last season as his teammates remained flat around him. Subbed off with cramp.

Christian Eriksen - 3

Absolutely terrible. Poor decision making throughout, sloppy passing and not the standard he usually produces. Gave away ball on edge of his own box which led to penalty being conceded for home side's second. Astounded he was left on for 90 minutes.

Dele Alli - 5 (subbed off 72 mins)

Sky high shot just before the break. Disallowed goal in the second-half for a clear offside. Should have scored when through down right channel on 65 minutes. Last effort was closest he came to bagging his first Champions League goal since November 2017 against Real Madrid. Looked surprised and disappointed to be taken off. Not sure why.

Harry Kane - 7

Done well to win penalty and converted with aplomb. Didn't trouble the Greeks too much aside from that but done what he was there to do.

Moussa Sissoko (on for Ndombele, 61 mins) - 5

Didn't have much of an impact. Similar to the man he replaced. Couple of misplaced passes were the sum of his contribution.

Son Heung-Min (on for Alli, 72 mins) - 5

Hard to notice he had come on.

Erik Lamela (on for Moura, 75 mins) - 5

Had a late chance on 86 minutes. Chose to shoot at near post rather than fizz across for Kane.
