A mannequin sits along a busy road in the village of Stony Stanton, Leicestershire, urging drivers to be careful as there may be children in the area.

He added: "Worse at night."

Social media users were equally appalled, but most agreed that bollards were terrifying.

"A nightmare," he wrote one, and another, "Crikey. That's very disturbing."

The bollards, named Billy and Belinda, were installed by the Stoney Stanton Parish Council and local schools in July 2020 as part of their Safe Driving Plan.
