Sophie Wessex delights fans with chic new look in latest royal appearance

The Countess spoke to eye professionals from the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB). She chose a classic black blouse for the royal engagement to help launch the 2020 Eye Health Heroes award programme.

The new look is different from the Countess’ more colourful summer outfits.

But royal fans still expressed their admiration for the Countess of Wessex.

One social media user posted: “Sophie is truly amazing she has a heart of gold and does such amazing work. Well done Sophie.”

Another user responded: “A quite magnificent lady.”

In the virtual meeting, the Countess of Wessex matched her elegant black shirt with gold hoop earrings and a chain necklace.

Her hair is styled in a classic half-up-half down look and teamed with natural, glowing makeup.

During the royal engagement, fans can see the Countess’ cream and blue patterned wallpaper, a white door with glass panels and a large painting of ducks hanging on the wall.

There is also a wooden dresser where the Countess keeps two stacks of books and a small ornament.

The Countess of Wessex is staying at her home in Bagshot Park, Surrey, with her husband Prince Edward.

The couple have been isolating there with their two children Lady Louise Windsor and James Viscount Severn due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In June, the Countess gave a glimpse inside one of the couple’s grandest rooms during a video call with members of the Women’s Network Forum.
