The model, 21, is believed to have parted ways with her boyfriend of three years with sources suggesting his close friendship with Kourtney drove them apart.
Now it's emerged she gave a telling interview about the dynamic between her, Scott and Kourtney shortly before the split.
Speaking about negativity about her romance with the reality star, she told Cosmopolitan : "I just don’t care what people think.
"[It] doesn’t bother me because I’m very happy. Why would I let someone from the middle of nowhere ruin that for me?"
When asked about how she gets on with Kourtney, who dated Scott for nine years and is the mother of his children, she added: "I mean, just be nice. There’s no reason not to be nice."
Sofia has been seen spending time with Scott's ex throughout their relationship and even joined them on a family holiday to Finland.
The trip was filmed for Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Sofia was seen sharing a hot tub with her boyfriend, his ex and their kids.
Sofia's split from Scott was reported earlier this week, with New York Post gossip column Page Six reporting the pair's romance had "run its course" and Sofia was "fed up" with Scott's behaviour.
The publication also reported the tensions between Sofia and Kourtney made thinsg difficult.
A source said: "Kourtney didn’t make it easy for he and you can only tolerate that kind of treatment for so long."
Scott split from Kourtney, 41, in 2015 and began dating Sofia, who is 17 years his junior, in 2017.
Scott shares three kids, Mason, 10, Penelope, seven, and Reign, five, with his ex and has remained a part of her life in the five years since they broke up.
