One of the stars of Netflix's hit property show, Selling Sunset, has dropped a bombshell claim about the break-up of her marriage.

Chrishell Stause, in a clip for the upcoming third season, can be heard saying that her ex-husband told her he'd filed for divorce...in a text message.

The 39-year-old tells co-star Mary Fitzgerald that This Is Us actor Justin Hartley had texted her, and that "45 minutes later, the world knew."

She went on to insist they haven't been in touch since the split, which ended their marriage of two years.

"I talked to him right after," Chrishell said, "because I thought that must be a joke.

"But that was kind of the end of the communication."

She also claimed the split threw her living situation into question.

"When I found out," she continued, "I was minutes before leaving the house for work so I immediately grabbed a few things and I just got out of there as fast as I could.

"I don't think I really knew where I was going or what I was going to do, but I just had to leave."

And Chrishell says she wants an explanation over the split, demanding: "Because of the crazy way in which this went down, people want answers.

"And I want f**king answers."
