Scottish father donates £20,000 in memory of wife

A Scottish father raised over £20,000 in her name in honor of his late wife after she died of cancer. His Stuart Jameison from Bo'nessraised cash in memory of his wife, Eva, who "never stopped smiling" while battling a terrible disease.

The 46-year-old received the award for his inspiring fundraising efforts in the community after Eva passed away in 2018 at just her 37 years of age. Eva was diagnosed with a very rare disease called pseudomyxoma. It begins in the appendix as a small growth called a polyp. She had undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy before her death.

he added: He couldn't keep going, and he knew he would get better if he kept going. He also received a great deal of support from his girlfriend Katie.

"It was really tough and emotional, especially the first seven days. I also knew my kids, Beth and Oscar, were going to be with me in Scotland. I kept moving forward, and the memories of Eva and all she went through kept me going, and my suffering was rendered meaningless by the fact that I was being treated for cancer.

"It was a lot harder than I expected. I had a vision of cheering up the country, seeing the scenery, and eating good food at night. The reality was that. Bow my head. 1 I was pushing for 13 hours a day.

"There were some incredible views and some really great moments that I will never forget.My kids, Beth and Oscar, are proud of me, but they will always I'm used to taking on crazy challenges.”

In recognition of his accomplishments, Wesport Animal Hospital awarded Stuart its Local Hero of the Month Award.

Clinic stated: It is a great honor to have such dedication, motivation and heart for the important cause of helping others. We are in awe of his great mission of compassion. He is the true definition of a hero.
