Police investigating a horror two car crash in Clackmannanshire believe the driver of a nearby 4x4 may hold vital information.

A man was left seriously injured in hospital after his Honda Civic collided with a Vauxhall van on Burnside Farm Road between Alva and Fishcross on Monday, June 14.

Emergency services were called to the scene, at the bridge over the River Devon, at around 12.10pm when the alarm was raised.

The driver of the van was also hurt however their injuries are understood to have been minor.

Officers are now keen to speak with the person behind the wheel of the black motor which was seen in the area at the time.

Constable Fraser Easton, from Stirling Road Policing Unit, said: “We are particularly keen to speak with the driver of a black 4x4 vehicle, which is believed to have been in the area around the time of the crash and may have information which can assist our enquiries.

“We are asking anyone who was driving in that area last Monday and has any information or potential dashcam footage, to please contact police on 101, quoting incident 1455 of 14 June.”
