They say you never forget your goal at senior level and for Ethan Galbraith, they don't get much better than this.

The central midfielder, currently out on loan with Doncaster Rovers, scored a peach of a goal on Tuesday night to draw his side level and secure a point after 90 minutes.

Receiving the ball from 25 yards out, the 20-year-old let fly with his right foot as the ball cannoned in off the right-hand post and the Cambridge United goalkeeper could only look on helplessly.

The goal drew comparisons to former United legend and midfielder Paul Scholes, with United fans taking to social media to praise Galbraith and tip him to have a future in the Old Trafford first-team.

Galbraith made his United debut as a late substitute in the Europa League against Astana in 2019.

He has yet to make a competitive appearance for the club he joined at 16 since then but did feature for the first-team during this season's pre-season games against Queens Park Rangers and Derby County.
