TV star Scarlett Moffatt broke down in tears after she shared her first bikini snap in five years.
The former I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! winner and Gogglebox star spoke out as she plucked up the courage to share the picture on Instagram.
The 30-year-old presenter has battled with weight problems before – and since she has become famous.
And so stripping down to her bikini, having worked hard to lose some weight, was understandably an emotional moment for the popular TV personality
“This shouldn’t be a big deal but it is and I’m actually crying whilst writing this,” admitted Scarlett in an emotional post to her two million Instagram fans.
The star posed in a blue and white floral bikini in front of a giant golden mirror, smiling as she took her summer-inspired selfie.
“It’s took me so many years to gain confidence with my body,” she admitted, “I’ve let it down at times and missed out on holidays and nights out because I’ve not liked what I’ve seen in the mirror.
“But hey after 5 years of not daring to wear a bikini I’m actually doing it!”
Scarlett added: “So I hope this gives you the confidence to buy that dress, that bikini, not miss out just because your body doesn’t fit into a certain category.
“Because let me tell you all these things are made up nobody is too slim, too curvy, too athletic, too many stretch marks, too much cellulite.”
The reality TV star stressed: “LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE.”
Scarlett is currently on holiday in Antigua and admitted she is “already loving life” as she takes a well-earned break from her busy work schedule.
And her candid post about her weight problems was well-received by her army of admirers.
“You look lush,” gushed one fan.
“U look fabulous,” commented a second.
And a third simply saluted: “Stunning,” with a fire emoji
County Durham-born Scarlett has starred in I’m A Celeb, Virtually Famous, Streetmate, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takewa y, I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp and Celebrity Karaoke Club during her successful TV career.
And she’s currently starring in ITV’s latest celebrity gameshow Apocalypse Wow, which aired for the first time last month.
The show tasks famous contestants with a series of absurd and hilarious challenges - and the victor gets to donate the prize money to a charity of their choosing.
And Scarlett has already gripped viewers as the ‘Chief of the Clan’ of celebrities competing in the show.
