SAS: Who Dares Wins is back tonight - coincidentally featuring Ant Middleton, who was fired by Channel 4 after the series was filmed and doesn't reckon that it should continue without him in it.
But the former soldier hit back days later on Good Morning Britain while speaking to hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, suggesting that the programme had been ruined by the "woke patrol".
He fumed at the time: "This isn't a Dancing On Ice, Celebrity Big Brother - even though it's turned into that. This is SAS: Who Dares Wins. You're going to see things that are uncomfortable.
"You're going to hear things that are uncomfortable. You've got a group of alpha males, military alpha males that are going to put people through a gruelling process, an authentic process. So if you don't like what you see, don't come and work on the set. It's not for the lighthearted, this show.
"But now it's turned into this PC, woke sort of... everyone in their safety bubble. 'If you hear anything that offends you, make sure you complain.' That's the show gone, that's the show gone."
Channel 4 bosses have since vowed to never work with him again due to his "personal conduct".
A spokesman for Middleton refuted the allegations at the time, claiming that he is "always disciplined and utterly professional".
Middleton is currently filming TV shows in Australia, including SAS Australia, and had been sharing inspirational Instagram messages.
Posting a picture of himself wading through a river, he captioned the photo: "The path... No thanks, I’ll take my own route! Always have done and always will. Step into the unknown, you will learn something regardless and when you learn you grow and when you grow you become a better version of who you are!"
