Sam Quek has welcomed a baby girl with husband Tom Mairs.

The 32-year old from Wirral, who confirmed her pregnancy in November, announced the wonderful news on her Instagram.

Sharing a black and white picture of her baby girl holding onto her hand, Sam captioned the post: "02.03.2021," alongside a red heart emoji.

Former Strictly star Ola Jordan said: "Congratulations guys."

Kimberley Walsh wrote: "Yay congratulations."

Paddy McGuiness commented: "Congrats Sam."

And Scarlett Moffat added: "Congratulations lovelies xxxxx"

Last November, Sam told OK Magazine she was "really, really excited" and "couldn't wait" to meet her daughter.

Speaking about her emotions following her 12-week scan, she said: "I was really overwhelmed.

"I just cried. It was pure relief at seeing the image on the screen and hearing the heartbeat."

Her pregnancy announcement came 10 months after Sam suffered a tragic miscarriage.

After a year of trying to conceive, Sam miscarried at 10 weeks in January 2020.

Sam said: "I didn’t want to speak to anyone [after the miscarriage]. I had guilt and shame that it was my fault. I was looking back at everything I did during that pregnancy and replaying every single minute.

"I put it all on me and my body. But I never said that to Tom at the time."
