Hollywood celebs Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have launched a bid to buy North Wales football team Wrexham AFC, the club has announced.
The Deadpool actor and the star of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia were confirmed to be trying to purchase the club, who play in the National League.
They were given the green light to proceed with takeover talks at a Special General Meeting of the Wrexham Supporters Trust (WST) on Tuesday, September 22.
The WST said in a statement: "In due course, Mr McElhenney and Mr Reynolds will put forward their vision for Wrexham AFC and proposal for members to vote on at a second Special General Meeting."
Canadian-born Reynolds, 43, is most famous for his roles in both Deadpool and Deadpool 2, as well as Green Lantern and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
