Families can enjoy some spooktacular fun this week.

Healthy n Happy Community Development Trust is hosting a number of frighteningly good online activities to keep kids entertained.

This morning (Wednesday) at 10.30am, parents and babies can enjoy Halloween Ally Bally, while from 11.30 to 12.30, Louise and the Trust’s walk leader will lead a spooky jaunt around Cuningar Loop in the Halloween Buggy Walk, where fancy dress is optional.

At 1.30pm today budding photographers can learn how to take some spooky pictures at the Halloween Photography Workshop, and at 3.30pm, artist George Price will help youngsters get creative with items around the house.

There’s an alternative to pumpkin carving at 6.30pm tomorrow, when a Zoom workshop will demonstrate how to create pretty pumpkins using glitter, paint, calligraphy and foil techniques.

A starter pack of materials is provided.

Babies and toddlers can join Carrie from Carried Away for a Halloween dressing up party with singing and dancing on Friday between 11.30 and noon.

And at 1pm, there’s Out & About for the Young at Heart – short walks around Cambuslang areas that have some spooky tales to tell. Booking is essential. Contact Transforming Lives on 0141 641 5236 or email: transforming [email protected] healthynhappy.org.uk

On Halloween itself, there will be a trick or treat scavenger hunt at Overtoun Park, while the Bike Town team is holding Bloodcurdling Bike Rides on Cambuslang and Rutherglen Main Streets, giving out treats and sharing information about a spooky treasure hunt.

Tune into CamGlen Radio at 5pm  on Halloween to hear Tess read a  spooky story and, on the same
station, there’s a spooktacular singing session with KC Community Choir at  6pm.

Visit www.number18venue.org.uk/special-events to check them out and to book for some of the activities.

S paces are limited so don’t delay.
