The Royal Family is "distressed" by Prince Harry's recent revelations about their lives, a royal biographer has claimed.

Lady Colin Campbell claims the royals will be "impacted" by Harry's interviews with Oprah Winfrey, in which he gave an idea of what life is like behind the scenes for the Firm.

The prince opened up about his strained relationship with his father, Prince Charles, while his wife Meghan Markle revealed there were concerns about their son Archie's skin colour before he was born.

TV personality Lady C has published four books about the Royal family, including biographies of Diana and The Queen Mother.

The writer, who also wrote the book Meghan and Harry: The Real Story, says The Duke of Sussex's family will have been impacted by his recent TV claims.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Lady C said: "I know how they will be impacted by that, they are distressed. Anybody would be."

Lady C claims the royals are 'distressed' by Harry's comments

While discussing his life in his new Apple TV+ documentary series The Me You Can't See the Duke revealed: "Cause my father used to say to me when I was younger, he used to say to both William and I ‘Well it was like that for me so it’s gonna be like that for you’.

"That doesn’t make sense. Just because you suffered, that doesn’t mean that your kids have to suffer. In fact quite the opposite, if you’ve suffered, do whatever you can to make sure that whatever experiences, negative experiences you had, that you can make it right for your kids."

He also commented that he moved Archie and Meghan to the US to "break the cycle" of "genetic pain and suffering" from his own childhood in an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard.

Lady C recently told the Daily Star Prince Harry was "dumping" on the rest of the royals with the string of revelations.

She said: "He’s busy violating at every turn - not only his privacy, but the privacy of his loved ones.

"What he is doing is called 'dumping'. In psychological terms it's called 'dumping'. He is 'dumping' on everybody."

She added: "He has dumped on various members of his family in a totally unacceptable way."

Lady C previously accused Prince Harry of 'dumping' on the royal family

Lady C has previously launched a petition urging The Duke of Sussex to request that the Queen put his titles into abeyance, meaning they would go into a state of temporary disuse or suspension.

She says she believes Harry and Meghan would still be able to "sell their brand" without the royal titles and giving them up "would be the right thing to do".

Lady C also recently slammed Prince Harry's televised therapy session in The Me You Can't See, claiming it's as "inappropriate as having sexual intercourse on television".
